For trial lawyers
An appellate reader beside the trial team
Much of our work comes from other lawyers. We join trial teams before the verdict to protect the record, and after it to write the post-trial motions and the appeal, while the trial lawyer keeps the client.
We don't take your client. When the appeal is done, the matter goes back to you, along with anything the record taught us about the next trial.
Ways we work with trial counsel
- 01
Before trial
Motions in limine and proposed jury instructions written with the appeal in mind.
- 02
During trial
A lawyer on call to draft an objection, a bench memo or an offer of proof by morning.
- 03
Once the jury returns
Post-trial motions on the short schedule the rules allow, and the notice of appeal.
- 04
In the appellate court
The brief and the argument, as lead or co-counsel, with the trial lawyer kept in every decision.
Call us in before the verdict
Tell us the court, the trial date and what worries you about the record. We reply with whether we can help and on what terms.
